A native of Oklahoma, Mr. Gwin has been professionally engaged in urban planning and economic and community development at the local level in Texas for over three decades. Thus far, he has worked in various development leadership and administrative capacities for six Texas communities in all three of the State’s largest metropolitan areas. These communities have ranged in size from 30,000 to 300,000 in population and all have been aggressive in their appetite for creative development solutions and steadfast in their demand for solid development results.

Currently, Mr. Gwin is the Executive Director of Economic Development for the City of Missouri City, Texas. In this capacity, he is actively engaged in facilitating capital investment and real estate development in Missouri City’s highly strategic, southwest doorstep of the ever-dynamic Houston metro region. Primary industrial clusters include logistics, manufacturing, and business services. Target industries include food processing, specialty manufacturing, and distribution. Commercial reinvestment and targeted destination development are also leading priorities for the community.

Mr. Gwin holds both a Bachelor of Arts and Masters of Science degree from Oklahoma State University in Stillwater. He has also earned both the American Planning Association’s AICP and International Economic Development Council’s CEcD professional credentials.
