PD McIntyre is the Preconstruction Manager for Chamberlin Roofing & Waterproofing in Houston, where he focuses on driving market growth, strengthening key client relationships, and expanding the company's roofing and waterproofing opportunities across Houston and the surrounding areas.
After close to a decade in a different industry, he joined Chamberlin in June 2019 with no prior commercial construction experience, drawn by the company's strong industry reputation, and has since grown into a client-facing role that bridges estimating, operations, and business development. His contributions to the construction industry have been recognized both locally and nationally, receiving the American Subcontractors Association Power of One Award and the Extraordinary Young Leader Award for Houston in recent years. He has also played a key role on award-winning Chamberlin projects, including the recent Associated Builders and Contractors Merit Award for the City of Houston Transtar Façade Remediation project and Buffalo Bayou Partnerships Turkey Bend Warehouse project, which will be honored this Fall at the Associated General Contractors APEX awards ceremony.
His involvement runs deep in the Houston construction community, chairing and helping run numerous construction industry focused sub-committees, including growing the American Subcontractors Association BLDG program into a meaningful resource for the industry's next generation. He has extended that commitment to mentorship through guest lectures at the University of Houston, UTSA, and Sam Houston State University regarding the role of the specialty contractor and by teaching nearly dozens of roofing and waterproofing technical classes for Chamberlin’s clients. He is passionate about giving back, sharing industry knowledge, mentoring young professionals, and showing them firsthand that the subcontractor and specialty trade path is as strong as any in the industry.
