Bob founded Gardner Builders with a deep belief that construction could feel different. Not just in the quality of the work, but in how people feel throughout the process. Bob is driven to lead a company where we all engage, learn, inspire, and have fun.

His path started from the ground up as a laborer, carpenter, and superintendent before earning my machinist apprenticeship at Newport News Shipbuilding, where he helped build aircraft carriers and submarines. After studying Civil and Construction Engineering at the University of Wisconsin-Madison, he spent years working on high-end office and mission-critical projects in San Francisco. That breadth of experience shapes how he shows up for clients today: listening closely, understanding what matters most, and trusting our uniquely talented team to bring it all together.

Today Bob focuses on the relationships and opportunities that help Gardner grow, staying active in our communities, and making sure our culture reflects who we truly are. Bob believes when you show up as yourself and pour genuine energy into what you do, good things follow. Outside of work, you'll find Bob enjoying the Twin Cities with his family and cheering on the amazing team we've built at Gardner. There's nothing he values more.
