Steve Eskildsen has been with Mortenson since the start of his career and now serves as Director of Strategy for Mortenson’s Chicago office, leading strategic growth and building lasting customer partnerships in Chicago and across Illinois and Northern Indiana. With more than 20 years of experience across varied and complex project environments, he connects market insight, customer needs, and strategic opportunities to position Mortenson as a trusted long-term partner. His experience includes both private and public projects across a wide range of market sectors, including higher education, healthcare, manufacturing, sports and entertainment, institutional, office, and data centers. He has played a key role in developing strong relationships with customers across the region. Steve holds a bachelor’s degree in construction management from North Dakota State University and is an active member of the American Heart Association, Executives’ Club of Chicago, Chicago Building Congress, Construction Owners Association of America, and Greater Chicago Economic Partnership.
